Tara McGuinness

As soon as a moved close to the seaside town of bundoran(fundoran) i
knew this was were i would get my inspiration for my art :). Born in
monaghan there was no real interest for me to work from so when i moved
to ballyshannon and bundoran, i began from there :)

Spent two years studying in the north west institute in derry
experimenting in fine art, lifedrawing, textiles and sclupture… but
finally majored in jewellery design and completed with a distinction in
that :) Over the past year i have got back into painting with acrylics
on canvas… creating depictions of surf art in my own style… using
bright colours and then blocking them out using heavy black lines and
intercepting half circles, to create an almost modern celtic design. I
also have an interest in black ink drawings… using lines,triangles,
half circles and blocks to create detail in these designs.
