David Olsthoorn

David Olsthoorn is a young, energetic photographer based in West Clare, Ireland. His unique style is influenced by his surroundings taking his main inspiration from stretches of untouched coastlines around Ireland,

especially his native Co. Clare.

His love for travel has brought him to places like, Italy, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, New Zealand and Australia and has always pushed him to want to explore new places and meet new people.

At only eighteen years of age his life is already hugely influenced by the ocean. David is primarily a photographer but almost as importantly he is an avid surfer. His days are motivated by his desire to discover the perfect wave and capture it with a lens. The West Coast of Ireland is rich with new, untouched reefs and coastline which not only inspire David as a surfer but also push him to exceed all expectations with his surf photography. His love for Irish seascapes is evident in all of his work which brings the rush and excitement of the surfing world into a sitting room or office in an instant. For those of us who don’t have experience of this sport David’s photography truly opens a door into this phenomenon and leaves you wanting more.
