Mark Alex

Mark Alex grew up in western Canada, moved to the west coast of Co. Clare in 2000 where he traded in his snowboard for a surfboard.
He’s totally stoked being part of the developing surf scene here in Ireland. Whether he’s teaching a lesson on Lahinch Beach, or staying up all night processing photos of a local kid’s first day chargin’ a serious slab.

A lover of surf history and all the old tales, this exciting Irish surf scene reminds Mark of California in the 60’s and 70’s.. a time of great surf expression and progression. A time he has only read about, but thanks to the music,fashion,and most importantly the photography, by legendary lensmen such as “Stoner” he feels like he was there… and kinda there again now.  No wonder he’s stoked.
