Tim Smith

Tim Smith originally from London, England and now living in Castlegregory, Co. Kerry is quickly becoming an influential photographer on the Irish scene. He came to visit Ireland in 2002 and got sucked into the Irish way of life. After growing up surrounded by concrete, he feels blessed to be now living in a place where mother nature is right on his door step.

His work is heavily influenced by the Irish coast, it’s beaches and surfing in general. He is excited to be part of the surf scene here in Ireland and witnesses firsthand the level and drive of the surfers here today. With new waves being pioneered and Groms rising through the ranks he hopes to carry on capturing the Irish coast and anything associated with it.

Although a keen surfer Tim likes nothing more than to be out with the camera scrambling over rocks or walking miles of beach, all in the pursuit of that magical moment when time is frozen and captured in a photograph. As an up and coming photographer Tim’s very keen to learn and develop his own unique style which is depicted in his hypnotic night shots: watch this space.
